For the longest time Rene Rosa needed an outlet for his frustrations, consistent bad luck, and everyday problems. In 1997 he lost his job, dropped out of college since he couldn't afford it, and then hit rock bottom in a relationship. After all this happening at the same time, he locked himself in his bedroom with his guitar, bass, drums and computer and began recording songs that he had been writing since 1993. He had no band, nor did he really plan on starting one at the time. He was happy with the way the songs were coming out, but they needed vocals. Not really confident in his singing, he wanted someone else to do the vocals but came up empty. Reluctantly he recorded the vocals himself, along with every other instrument on the songs.

Out of the twenty somewhat songs he had, he uploaded a bunch of them to MP3.com and started to get many downloads, especially with the song "Godless". While shooting up in the charts in the metal section of MP3.com, "Godless" became number 1 in its genre for 3 months and got the attention of Guy Tetro, the Chief Editor of Hipnosis.com, a New Jersey Arts and Entertainment web-site and magazine. Hipnosis invited "Evil Adam" to play the first annual Hipnosis Halloween show, and Rene couldn't possibly say no even though he didn't really have a band.

Rene Rosa had a dilemma on his hands, but knew exactly where to go to solve it: his best friends and family.

That is how the first form of Evil Adam played live, and over time the line up has changed to now include Rene Rosa, Jay Curcio, Izzie Machado, and John Digrazia. The music of "Evil Adam" manages to be heavy, pumping, and hard hitting while still maintaining catchy melodies. The band has called this combination of different styles "Scrap Metal", as it combines the elements of their favorite music with their own original sound and approach. With an amazingly energetic live show, flawless performances, and catchy songs, "Evil Adam" promises to breathe new life into the world of metal and take the music world by storm.

Izzie Machado

Birthday: October 28, 1978      Email:izzie69@eviladam.com
Position: Guitarist
Favorite Food: Steak

Spending most of his early life playing baseball in school and city teams, Izzie switched over to music once he graduated from high school in 1996. He originally was playing bass in another band and moved on to play guitar for "Evil Adam". Since Rene and Izzie are related they had played around with songs for years before the band started, which made the switch over that much easier. He is influenced by guitarists such as Dino Cazares of "Fear Factory", Blasko of "Rob Zombie", and Daron of "System of A Down." Thanks to way to many hours spent watching Beavis and Butthead, Izzie comes fully equipt with a half rotten brain. Unfortunately, we don't quite know whats up with the other half. More likely to quote The 3 Stooges than Olde English Poetry, Izzie keeps himself occupied with a steady diet of horror flix and old school screwball comedies.

Jay Curcio

Birthday: October 4, 1978      Email:Jay@eviladam.com
Position: Drummer
Favorite Food: Chicken Cordon Bleu

Jay's passion has always been his music. He started playing drums at the age of six and hasn't stopped since. Jay is influenced by all types of music, but mainly by metal and hardcore, including Danny Carrey of Tool and Bill Ward of Black Sabbath. Now Jay has found a home with "Evil Adam". Having been a fan of the band since it's inception, Jay has been given the opportunity to help "Evil Adam" achieve its place in the metal world. In his spare time, Jay enjoys horror films, and putting on buckled shoes and a green felt outfit. If you shake him enough coins might fall out! Stay away from his pot of gold however. If you touch what's at the end of his rainbow, he might burn your flesh off with a steaming stream of acidic GREEN piss! Fear the EVIL LEPRECHAUN! He might seem to have a gentle heart, but he's only trying to get you close enough to tear your jugular out.

John Digrazia

Birthday: May 3rd, 1980      Email:evilenerjohn@gmail.com
Position: Bassist
Favorite Food: Chicken ParmiJohn

Originally in Sour, just like almost every other band member that has spent some time playing with Evil Adam, John joined the band at the start of 2004. With musical tastes that go from Nine Inch Nails and Nirvana to Jimmy Eat World and Mindless Self Indulgence, John's open mind helps him come out with some original bass parts that help add some fun bottom-ends to the song. I don't mean like hot chick asses, I mean the lower frequency emitting musical instrumentation. We all like hot chick's and their asses, however. John is a hardcore Spider-Man and Star Wars fan, though his favorites, of course, are the villains themselves. Darth Maul Vs. Venom would be his dream fight, and if the Ghostbusters showed up to break it up, he'd probably cream his pants and yours. When not playing in Evil Adam, you can find him in Kuru along with Jay and Martin. Oh, and this kids blood runs red with video games. Seriously, it's almost disturbing. There is almost no game he has not played, including ones that haven't even come out yet.

Rene Rosa

Birthday: January 12, 1979      Email:eviladam@eviladam.com
Position: Missionary... I mean Singer/Songwriter
Favorite Food: Outback Steak

Originally a drummer, Rene began picking up the guitar and bass in his teens and started on vocals to complete the songs he was writing at the time. Rene's lyrics stem from his experiences with the world around him, especially with betrayal, religion, and the world's lack of common sense. A fan of many genres, his largest influences are The Misfits, Nirvana, Bad Religion, Black Sabbath, White/Rob Zombie, The Vandals, The Doors, The Beatles, and Weird Al. With his love for sick humor and horror movies, such as the "Evil Dead" trilogy, Rene interjects fun into the live shows, despite most of the songs' serious lyrics. During the day Rene is kept indoors while tending to the stupidity of masses. This excursion into the pits of hell is what we who suffer call TECH SUPPORT! Rene can be often yelling out his now famous catch phrase "MAH DIIIIICK!" and spends his spare time writing new songs, watching movies, and playing the occasional violent videogame. Games don't kill people, bullets kill people! Also, he did the Genie In A Bottle cover song because he FELT LIKE IT!
